In 2019 I joined NTU through a BA Fashion Design Course, After completing the year with a 2:1 through the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic I believed my passion was elsewhere and so enrolled on the Textile Design course in 2020. Within this year I learned techniques and processes that I continued to use throughout the remainder of my NTU life. Below are the two major projects completed within this academic year.
White Project: Musculoskeletal
We started off the year concentrating on silhouette by taking the colour out of the garment to allow us to focus fully on the form. I took inspiration from the Musculoskeletal System to create this three dimensional piece.
Colour Project: Voyage
Second project collaborating with EMMANUEL House to create an OUTERWEAR garment to help the homeless around Nottingham. voyage is inspired by outdoors ACTIVITIES such as hiking and ROCK-CLIMBING to create a functional and stylish Line up. Due to the covid-19 issue no garment was created.
